Looking for pictures of my 935
I am looking for old racing photos of my 935. This started life as a 934 # 930 670 0171 and raced in Europe in 76/77 including Le Mans both years. The car was sold at the end of 77 and its whereabouts unkown until recently. This car belonged to Enrique Molins AKA "Jamsal" and was raced in the IMSA series . I am particularly interested in pictures from 1981 but any would be great . The car was Yellow and was the number 84 .
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am restoring the car as a 935 .

Here is one from the `77 Le Mans. That car (930 670 0171) was entered by Schiller Racing That year (DNF). However it was raced under the number 59, not 84, and was originally red, not yellow. It was sponsored by Meccarillos & BP, and was driven by François Servanin, Franz Hummel, and Laurent Ferrier.
The only yellow #84 raced by Jamsal I could find was a different car (930 770 0958). Here it is at Mosport in 1981:

Check out a really awesome book called "From R to GT3 RSR" it follows the history of the racing 911's and has a listing in the book of every factory race car and some of the customs and their history.

Eric,
Thanks for the pictures . I have those photos. The VIN they are using in that photo from Mosport in 81 is not correct. The 0958 car was owned and raced by Ludwig Heimrath Sr. & Jr. and by 1981 was white . It was also a 934 originally but was converted to factory 935 bodywork. You will notice that the Yellow 84 car does not have factory 935 bodywork. Similiar to K3 bodywork but is actually M-16 bodywork. Only a few 935s ran M-16 bodywork . It was assumed by John Starkey that the car was the 0958 car due to bad info and because no one knew where the 0171 car was. Starkey has personally inspected and photographed the 0171 car recently and will make adjustments in his next book.He has also talked to Cluade Haldi who confirmed he sold the 0171 car to Central America and in turn this car was brought back to the US after being purchased from Molins. The information from the web site you got the pictures from uses Starkey's VIN info and is in the process of being corrected by the webmaster. Thanks for the photos..I saw an old posting from June of 2001 that had some photos I have not seen . I hope anyone who has old IMSA photos will check for this car. I would appreciate it Eric, if you are interested in seeing the resto currently being performed on this car shoot me an email and I will send you an invite to the online photo album.
