It looks cool. A couple of things registered on my "hype meter"

1) GE20 camshafts and 9000 RPM??? I don't see where the two meet. According to Smart Racing's catalog, the GE20's are the mildest of their camshaft profiles, roughly in the same league as a Solex profile, or slightly more agressive then an E.

2) The same thing with Weber 40's on a 2.7. Not a bad choice, but I doubt that they'll pull 9000 RPM.

3) Getting tires to fit the fat 15 inch wheels may be a drag.

4) 11.5:1 CR on cams with 248 deg duration sounds like a lot of CR, even with twin plugs. I suspect that race fuel will be a must, or else something doesn't add up.

Either way, the engine ain't no 2.7RS clone. The carbs are wrong, the cam is wrong, the twin plug and CR are wrong. It may not be a bad motor, but it surely is not a 2.7RS.

As it is now, the car is a bit of a poser. But nothing that an engine swap wouldn't fix.

Me Like. To finish it off it needs real RSR mag centerlocks and a better engine. But it looks like a great start. Oh, the hood crest is really nice...

For a center fill tank the neck doesn't look too centered.

Pretty cool car.

LOL, John! Mine looks nice, too.

This car needs a 2.8 or 3.0 RSR engine.

9000RPM

No way. Not with a 6 bolt 2.7 crank. Not for very long, anyway. Did Zak build the motor? Hes a good guy that I would trust, but I seriously doubt that any 2.7 engine would spin to 9000 RPM for very long.

Theres a lot of $$$ in the 3.0 RSR bodywork. A little too wide for me, but still pretty cool. Someone definitely put some money into that car at one time.

if priced right, a perfect base for a 3.6 swap and some real suspension- then it would be awesome
