Le Belle Macchine d`Italia or Porsche Parade?
I was just looking at the calender and realized that "Le Belle Macchine d`Italia" the largest Italian car gathering on the east coast and the Porsche parade in Hershey are on the same weekend at the end of June. Both are 2 hours from my house - but I don't think it is doable to get to both the same weekend.
Any recommendations on where to go? I was really excited about both. Experiences form "Le Belle Macchine d`Italia"? Experiences form the Porsche parade? I know the audience I am playing to here - but everyone loves to look at Italian eye candy. I am taking my 75 YO father and my 8 YO son. Driving the 930 either place. What to do?

They will probably stone you in the 930 at LBMDI, so head to Hershey.
Must instill the correct values in the youngsters! ianc

I was heading to Hershey until I found out about Le Belle, they leak oil with such class and style that it is worth the trip.

You need to sign up in advance for the Parade, if you plan to participate in much of anything beyond wandering about looking at cars. The Parade will have a variety of events for the three of you, not all that car related in some areas.
The Parades I have attended in the recent years seem to be more family oriented every year. That's not always bad, but when you go as a single male motorhead there is going to be a lot of stuff going on you care nothing about. As for the Italian show, never been; but if it is like the Concours Italiano on the left coast, it will be a good food, photo, and babe-watch opportunity. Not a lot of driving, more shining, Q-tipping, posing, etc. but a nice day for a picnic, weather permitting..

I wonder if "somebody" is competing with "somebody" else... because those two events should NOT be the same week and so close.
Your pick, I'd go to the Parade. |

I know I SHOULD go to the parade - but I have been to the swap meet the last couple of years. Seen lots and lots of nice Porsches - and I never tire of looking at them.
But - as per Motion - there is something about Italian cars. They make old men, middle aged men, and young boys sort of crazy "I wonder if "somebody" is competing with "somebody" else... because those two events should NOT be the same week and so close. Your pick, I'd go to the Parade." I thought it was really strange they were on the same weekend. Both using Pocono for their driving events - when they went to schedule you would think someone would have changed. Where is the "Parade" next year?
