Amazing how he kept referring to the Porsche as a simple car, almost like an old Volkswagon. Those GT3s are space shuttles compared to our cars.

Yea that and the fact that he was keeping up with the Ferrari F1's Team test driver in the 360 while he was in the Porsche. I love how he even passes him, yet he still gives the company no credit...

I thought that classifying the 911 as a fixed up VW was a little offensive but its all good. I like the comparisons between the two cars and have a renewed faith in Ferraris but the price difference between the two was remarkable yet the time around the track was nearly the same. That being said, either one would be a good choice.

Richard,

Their is a great Ferrari racing game at Dave & Busters in Irvine that you should check out, surprisingly very realistic graphics and three screens for a full vantage point but heck if your going to test drive the real thing then who needs a game.

no worries, I have plenty of bandwidth...for now.

After watching the video a few times...wouldn't Porsche beat the Ferrari if it was the GT3RSR vs. the 360 CS?

They compared the CGT against the Enzo. Sadly the Enzo was a fair bit quicker round the track.

Only because the test driver wasn't Lucas Ruhr. The official comparo was Lucas was fraction second quicker than Ferrari factory driver around the Nurburgring. That was in the dry. In wet conditions the C-GT was much faster. Also the Top Gear test of the C-Gt gave it a time around the same track as the current comparison as 1.19.xx beating all other cars including the Maclaren AMG at 1.20.xx. The 360 did 1.22.xx

So the English chap denegrates the Porsche as a VW. Nothing wrong with that since the VW beetle is indestructible. Who do you think will win LeMans or daytona, etc. Those "beautiful creations from God Ferraris?" I don't think so since the complexity of their "race" mode will break in time. Also I think their test driver needs more seat time in the 911 to go faster. He did spin the C-Gt several times before setting the top laptime.
