1985 Porsche engine suddenly shuts off
This car gets on my nerves.
Engine just shuts off during accilerating. During coast down in gear all gauges still show l normal values, shows RPM, coil gets power, fuelpump keeps running. Checked for bad contact, replaced Motronic unit, checked air flow sensor, disconnected cruise, rpm and others - still the same. Fuel pressure is 35psi and a lot of flow. If engine did shutt off, just turning the key quick over and ignition on does not start the engine. Using the starter starts the engine. Could that be something in the tank?? Thanks, harold

Perhaps you have a failing/intermittant DME relay which is located under your drivers seat, next to the DME.
