Mobil-1 back to Group 111 oil-good results!
Last week changed oil and decided to try a blend of Valvoline VR1 40W and Valvoline Max Life 20W50 after the last three changes using Mobil-1 15W-50. Used a 50/50 blend of each Valvoline type and was surprised at how well the car responded. The leak at the oil cooler while cold/during warmup was pretty much stopped, from one drop every 30 seconds to one drop in 5 minutes. The pulley seal leak has slowed significantly also but harder to guage accurately. The smoking going down a long grade in 4th gear at 3000 rpm has disappered. Picked VR1 for the higher ZPPD levels and Max Life for seal coditioning. Several other listers posted some great sites about oil, its makeup and properties and I learned much from that. Sounds like there are some good diesel/truck/SUV oils available for 3.2 like mine with 75000 miles logged.

Next time try 50/50 blend of synthetic/conventional oil and see if that makes any difference
