Alright guys, I have always thought the sheepskin covers looked pretty dorky. (Flame suit on)
Do they make a difference? I have the standard pleather interior that gets kind of sticky on a long drive. Warmth is not an issue as I don't drive it in the winter. Thanks for the opinions. ![]()

Well we use it to put the premature newborne babies in in the Childrens Dept. where I work. Supposed to have healthy properties besides keeping warmth.
..Not helpfull, I know..

I think sheepskin fibers are hollow. They keep you warm in the winter, and cool in the summer. They will also protect your existing seat material.
The only downside is they look very 80's... but, then again, so does the black vinyl bra I throw on my car sometimes. Go for it.

Thinking more about it... they make full, partial, and just layover sheepskin seat covers. I had (in an old '79 Audi of mine) the least expensive kind that just lays over the part where your body goes - like a towel would. So, you don't stick to the seat, and they are nearly invisible to other drivers!

I have them in mine, and I could careless what I get labeled as. They keep me warm in the winter, cooler in the summer, and my seats STILL, after 20 years, look brand new living in Vegas.

I had a set of high quality sheeps in my old BMW (they came with the car). I have to admit that they are pretty awesome especially in a car without AC. For some reason you don't seem to sweat on a hot day like you do against a leather or vinyl seat.

If you decide to get sheeps ( I've always put them on my car)...Make sure you get QUALITY pelts. You will get what you pay for...

When I bought my car, it had black German sheepskins on it and they were the most uncomfortable things to sit on than I can imagine! I replaced the ratty, ripped seats and thre out the sheepskins and haven't missed them one bit. Mine were black, so I'm sure that added to the discomfort in the summer (hot as hell!).

I've had tan ones on my car for 17 years (2 sets). As emission says, they are cooler in summer, and they are warmer in cold temps. Funny thing, though...I always thought they looked kinda 60s. I guess it depends on your age. Anyway, I think they certainly suit an S.
Tried to post a pic, but "Could not establish a CMC some such bs connection".

I've got sheepskins on my seats, merely to protect them from the sun and the sudden downpour. I agree they don't look as good as leather.

My seats are more comfortable with the sheepskins on. More padding, cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. I could care less what they look like to other people. My only problem is that it would make me sit a little higher in the seat and my hair would touch the roof. My car has a sunroof.

I like my sheepskins, and they will in fact keep your seats looking new forever. Along the lines of what Drew said, with the stock steering wheel it makes getting in and out a little harder as you do sit a little higher. This can easily be remedied with an after market, smaller diameter wheel, and also gives an excuse to get one
