1st time pic post

Apologies if the intended pics don't get attached (I'll try again if necessary)....I'm relatively new to digital camera and e-mail posting thereof. Enjoy!!

OK...I'm a computer moron!!! Can someone explain in real simple language how to attach a photo?? Two intended photos..both re-sized to 65-85k. Went to the "attach photo" option at the bottom of the message page, browsed to the correct file(s), "opened" those pic files, hit the upload and apparently nothing happened which would attach and show the pics as a part of my message. What am I doing wrong??

make sure the link for your picture appears in the box to browse your pictures. Hit "upload" and wait until an image link appears in your message. Don't do anything after that except upload another picuture if you want. Once that is done, just hit submit. That's about it. It does not matter what size your picture is, the service will automatically adjust so it's not too large. Also, if it is a big picture, or high resolution, it could take over a minute for you to upload.

Good luck,

Jon brought up a good point. Depending on your connection to the internet, you might have to wait several minutes for your picture to upload. Once this is complete, you will be promped to continue and should see some brackets like this in your post [img.... ]

Gentlemen---I appreciate your efforts to get this mission accomplished, however, unless our host is experiencing some technical difficulties this evening (which I seriously doubt), I think the problem may be of my own making. The photo file name appears in the "browse" box, the "uploading" phase completes relatively quickly, but I never get a prompt to "continue" or "attach" (whatever word it uses....I never get to that point)....the [ ]'s do not appear in the post either. My file pics are jpeg with a 70-90K size. I'll keep after the problem and hope to have a solution shortly.

What browser, version and operating system are you using. It could be an issue there. If in doubt get updates. It could also be related to security settings in your browser. Sounds like something is not getting kicked into gear.

BTW, we need to see your pics so get this fixed.

...And don't take anyone here too seriously either.

I'm using Internet Explorer with Windows XP operating system. As far as I know, I have all current updates. Rest assured, pics will be forthcoming when this little "problem" is cured.

I do sympathy with your frustration. I allmost killed my desktop before my brother (computerwisard) helped me post the pictures of my car. Not without a few ironic remarcs, mind you.
He not around just now, so sorry canīt be of help..

After you browse for a picture, make sure the entire file path is listed, not just the file(picture) name. it will likely start something like "C:/XXX/XXX..."

After you select the path click the upload button. If you have a monitor for your connection watch to see that the outgoing signal is present for a long period of time. Dial up could take minutes while a high speed (cable or DSL) will take seconds. When the picure upload box disappears it should past a link to the picture into your reponse.
Here is the link to my uploaded picture... (I inserted a space so it would not show the picture)

here is the picture.

Man, thatīs one of the best looking cars I ever saw! Love that color combination. My 85 Carrera looks like a Volvo compared to that lady.

I don't think the Pelican server recognizes "jpeg". I think you can simply rename the pictures with a "jpg" extension and it should work.

Here's what I get when I try to upload a "jpeg", even though it says the format is supported.

NADA...ZILCH....ZIP. I'm gassing up the Porsche and heading out toward Lubbock today on business (ought to be a good day to put the new/improved AC to a test as well). I'll resume this project upon my return.
