No Spark here.

After 3 or 4 months of trouble free driving my 930 died at idle last weekend. I have no spark. Elect is not my strong suit, so i'm in need of advise. CD box whines, connections from 6 prong plug all seem ok, and tested for "buzz" at all ends of the wires. Discon the tach, no change, had coil checked, tested ok. I put in a new/used distrib a few months ago. Is there any test for dummies of the distrib in the car via the green wire? Or a test to show power to the distrib and out of it. Or other items to test? Thanks. Brian

I think it's pointless.

Is the distributor rotor turning? Seems the dist. would be suspect, but hate to assume anything at this stage.

I'll check the rotor. I suspect the distrib also, but don't know how to test. Thanks.

Check that you're getting a signal from the green coax wire coming from the distributor.

Thanks. I know my coil works, I had it bench tested. But, I am going to pull the cap and rotor tonight and replace. Rev limiter has been making a diff sound for a while now. Still not sure if the problem is upstream from the coil.
