putting a later A/C compressor in an SC?

I was wondering what exactly I'll need to do in order to install a later (Carrera or 964) A/C compressor in my SC,

do they make a plate to allow them to bolt on? what sort of fittings will I need? What size belt?

Anyone have any info on this?

You can buy a new Sanden compressor on ebay for $100-200. You can also find York to Sanden mounting brackets for $30-40 on ebay or at places that specialize in retrofitting A/C systems. You could also easily fab a bracket if you have a welder.

Try Rennaire for A/C parts. They are selling New Sanden 507's for $199 for 911's!!!!!!

ok, how about this question..Will the later model Aluminum compressor mounting brackets work with a 3.o liter SC. I would really like to not have to use that heavy steel mount.

Always check with our host first.

Assuming they don't have what you need, check out Vertex's website. They sell a kit with a Sanden (?) compressor and a mounting plate for the SC.
