Need Input on track seat
 

I'm looking at buying some fixed back seats for use in the Sc on track days. I only do about 3-4 per year and my region requires you put in both passenger and driver.

I'm looking in the under $400 range...The Cobra Monoco looks very interresting. I want a bottom mount seat with less pading than my sport seat so I can gain some head room.


Any thoughts on the monoco...anything else I should be looking at.

Momo makes the "Start" seat for about $300ea without sliders. I had Wedge Engineering make me a fixed seat base for under $100 or you can spend $200 for Momo sliders. If you get a fixed base made, you might have to re-drill holes depending on how forward you need the seat to safely shift and clutch.

Steer clear of Corbeau unless you are short. The seat sits a little high for most drivers. I'm 5'8'' and it just barely works for me with a helmet on.
