It is running!

Still a few details yet to go but the engine is back up and running with the new muffler and a new car!! Hard to believe how much more room there is in the engine bay and underneath for the muffler.

Gotta thank Alex for the sorted 3.6 and Don for the loan of the wheels as well!

Looks good Dane!

Is this a used motor or a rebuilt unit? The motor looks a bit dirty compared to the rest of the car! I guess all of the dust swirling around in the shop probably doesn't help.

Might be the new bare metal repaint that gives that impression. It is a tweaked '95, 3.6 which I have refrained from painting fly yellow for the moment .

Man, I am so close it is killing me. Might make it for the show and shine...not everything totally done but we might make it. Mark is really pushing his crew to get it rolling for a test drive by Saturday afternoon.

If that happens I'll bring it out "as is" for Sunday.

More new pictures here..

My apologies for starting another new thread but I could hardly keep working when they left the exhaust sounds on my recorder today. The dirty bastards!!

Front is done, hood is on. Rear bumper is waiting for a seal in the morning but it is on. Duck still to come. Headliner and new interior was going in this afterrnoon. Ride height, corner balance and alignment tomorrow. Few details after that but we are very close to having a finished and drivable car.

It is bad. I can't stand to go to the shop anymore. Too painful. Alex dropped by some missing parts today and took the pictures, and heard the engine.

I just want a finshed car next time I see it. Looking forward to the first drive and a final tick list for the remaining details.
