Newbie Pics

Being fairly new to this forum and suffering from a lack of experience of board etiquett, I was recently informed that it is customary to post pics of your ride with your first few posts which I did not do so excuse my ignorance and here you go. It's an 85 with Power everything, Full leather, heated leather sport seats, locking diff, Fuchs alloys, Koni HD on all corners, new top. I lover her..she's been good to me.
I'm very eager and excited to get into the car for the first time next week for: complete tune(magnacore wires Bosch- cap, rotor, plugs), all fluids(Swepco 201,M-1 15w50), Filters (stock Mahle and will drill out air box w/3-2" holes), New brakes(Mintex red box), lines(SS-DOT), Flush & bleed(ATE-blue/Motive bleeder), Re-build calipers and paint(why not show'em), Clean and check emerg brakes, Belts(while at it take out alt fan and housing and clean and paint), Replace 1-oil return tube (of course it's the one that requires the HX to be dropped...of course), Valve adj., try to get out those damn white haze marks on the rims, and other tid-bits as well. This forum has been amazingly helpfull while I was setting up the parts and the methods by which I will go about tackling the above tasks. Thanks to all!
Should only take a weekend and a few six-packs right? RIGHT!!!

Yep, you'll love it the more you drive it. I'd say half the fun of owning these cars is the DIY part if that's what you're into. I've done some the stuff you mentioned and will probably only get as complicated as a valve adjustment, but it's gratifying to do. Enjoy!

Looks great. I like them stock like that. The interior looks clean. Nice ride.
As I have said before, no matter what, I'm keeping the 964 stock. It's enough just to keep it is clean as possible. I wish my 84 had the original interior completely clean and original, but at this point it's simply frankenstein/minimalist.

Nice looking Cab and welcome aboard. I noticed in the 912 forum mention of a Long Island meet in about a week, you may want to check it out.

Heh Gost, nice car and a very good year. Is that the dark blue or black? Can't really tell from the pictures. Search for the Long Island gathering thread - there are 50 plus pelicans meeting up this Sunday in Port Jefferson so maybe come join in the fun.

Thanks for all the positive remarks and hearty welcome. Yes I am pretty handy having restored a few cars (71 and 73 TR-6, 66 Pontiac Ventura Conv 389 4spd w/trips) so I'm at an advantage but thank god you guy's have been around to help out with parts recommendation and techniques because the 911 is a different animal. Should be fun and rewarding as you all mention. The cars been good to me, thankfully.
Kieth, it's triple black, full leather and new top.
I'd would love to attend the rally. I will look it up and get my ass over there. Reading posts the past few weeks there has been a strong indication that you all are slightly...well...nuts which is a good thing and I would not mind making some acquaintances.

thanks so much again, this board is awesome!

Nice ride, wipe the rims clean with a bit of clean motor oil, it works great, gets the milk haze right off.
Best of luck, if the weather staightens out i'll see you at Kurts Long Island Meet.

Nice ride.

I'm down the road in Huntington.

If you need any help wrenching give me a call.

You supply the beer. Nothing fancy required, Bud is fine.

Depending on outcome for the meet we can run out together.

I'll PM you with contact info.

Scott

Welcome and sweet car! I use the side pocket as a cup holder as well. A grande from Starbucks fits perfectly in there

Thanks again for the greetings and positive remarks. I don't feel so " on my own" with the 911 anymore. All the buds are into amer. metal or rice burners. Great to know fellow P-car owners are there when the s*^#t hits the fan.
I hope to meet some of you at Kurts meet this Sunday but the weather no looks so good. I voted the 12th and it will give me time to go at the car.
Dave, I haven't a clue where the knob is from. It's definitely old and heavy as all hell. I found it in the middle of a field at one of the Carlyle events. I kid you not, all by it's lonesome with no car or person within a 100 feet. Someone's pissed somewhere.
Check the pic out and anyone who has a clue please drop a note.

Gost
