VIN information or any other input

Greetings, My father has asked me to sell his car. He's gotten older and does not use the car anymore - it just sits under its car cover and collects dust.

I'm looking for any input what-so-ever. Here's what I've got so far:

VIN WP07779116301825

Receipts back the following up:

Performance muffler
frt spoiler
L+R bellows
skid plates
79 US version of 3.0 RS Spec. Engine ?>40IDA3C<?
Engine built put in 87
Has been brought to DOT standards

This is the additional information:

5 speed limited slip trans, short shift
Six weber carbs
Dual aux oil coolers
front wheel cross stabilzer bar
sunroof
AC - working
Power windows
Was a Lap car at the race track down here.

The nice guys over at rennlist.com directed me over here as a place to gather more information - perhaps in the arena of VIN info.

If anyone can give me any information on this vehicle or its parts - let me know. Any other questions, I will do my best to answer.

Thank you for your time
-Logan

The VIN number doesn't look right???? It should have some moer letters in it.

Take another look at the VIN#. I think the three 7's may be ZZZ, indicating a ROW car. The 63 should be letters not numbers indicating year of manufacture, where built.
Sounds like an interesting car. Got pic's? Down here must be OZ?

Double checked the vin on the car the 777 is actually ZZZ - good call.

Everything else is a checked
VIN: WPO ZZZ 911 63 01 825

This car was built in Germany and imported in from Bremerhaven to Los Angles in the Mid 80's, I've got the manifest on that shippment.

I'm wondering if that might affect the VIN - the fact that it was ment for German roads. Gauges are all in German.

As Doug pointed out, the 6 has to be a letter - G maybe? - which would be 1986 & the 3 has to be an S for Stuttgart.

See VIN Info

What is a "ROW CAR"? Thanks

Sumotang 05-12-2005 03:57 PM

ROW = Rest of World Car. Not US or Canada.
