Cool New Seats, wadda u think?.....

I'm looking for new front seats for my SC coupe. While searching I came across these.....

They are vinyl, have adjustable backrest, tilt function and come with sliders. They are less than $250 each including shipping! I am currently trying to get dimensions for the seat body and for the mounting spacing. So what do you think? Will they look ok in a Porsche?

They look really good in the picture, but for that price I would wonder about quality and durability. Might be a good value though. Just buy one first and see if you like it.

They do look good, as do many of the Asian built knock off seats that are flooding the market. Quality can be acceptable, or not, but you do get what you pay for, so look around. Most important, sit in them! I've found some that were comfy, some that felt like plywood. Google NEX seats, APC seats, and try "racing seats" on Ebay for more options. I went with used Porsche sport seats in the end.

Cool Seats....

These seats are available in black, red, grey and beige. I may do as Porschenut suggested and buy one for the drivers side. If I like it and it fits my butt, then buy one for the passenger side. As soon as I find out more about these seats and maybe even be the BB guinea pig, I'll let everyone know where they can order their own set.

I saw (and sat in) something similar at Pep-Boys. It was on sale for around $200. If I'd been in the market I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

I have a similar set very good but backs are flimsy ( I am 6'-4" 260 lbs ) But mine sit against a roll cage so no problem.

Buy a set of Sparcos for almost the same price - you then will know the quality is at least pretty good -

I'm sorry but those seats look even cheaper than they cost.
And what color is that? Flesh?

Let me rephrase the question: Where can you get adjustable Sparcos (not shells) for about the same price? Cheapest I have seen is $550 each.

If you want a decent seat at a decent price jegs and summitt offer nice adjustable seats . Try this PN at summitracing.com SUM-G1155. They are nice seats and are affordable. I have sparco EVO 2's in my car. They are nothing special at all. They are overpriced to say the least

I would be really concerned about the recline mechanism. I have some knock-off seats and the recliner is really weak, they hella flex. They look supportive though...

Nothing like a recliner mechanism failing in a low speed accident.
Mmmmmm, seatback pushing you forward, just great

At times we all can sound flippant (me), but really, save up for decent seats
