1968 911L wiring
I am in the process of putting my car back together and am ashamed to say I can't remember how to wire my headlights and taillights. I am getting tired of blowing fuses, so thought I would get a little help. I have tried to follow the wiring diagram, but it is basically a foreign language to me. If anybody has a picture for both front and back lights and how they are wired that would probably work the best. There are probably six wires for each light and it is getting damn confusing. I know two wires on each side in the front go to fog lights and I have those identified, but need help with the rest.

Unfortunately an old respray of my car left my wires all the same color, so even if I had any photos they wouldn't help, but light wiring is pretty simple stuff. A simple test light and toggling around your switches should make it clear what needs to be wired where. Brown is ground. The rest you could figure out pretty quickly even without a wiring diagram.
For what its worth, make sure if you have one you're looking at one that specifically matches your car. A '69 diagram won't help, neither will a '68 S, etc. I have a euro-spec 911L and it doesn't even exactly match the US L wiring chart I have. If you have a specific question, PM me... I am going to do a valve adjustment tomorrow so I'll be working around the car, and I can check out the wiring. Just be glad you don't have to rewire your ignition switch or dash!

Thanks - I know that I will have a lot more questions as I move forward. The car has been taken apart for seven years, so my memory is not totally 100% of where things go etc. I have the car at a relative’s house in another town, so I am only able to work on it every two or three weeks. I will take a bunch of pictures next time and then I can reference what I need help with. Hopefully somebody else out there will have some pictures etc., because I hate the trial and error method.
