Shifter Bolts 85'

Does anyone know what size the bolts are that hold the shifter to the floor and hold the shirt rod bushing in place? They are 8 and 9 on the diagram on page 340-5 in the Bentley manual. The smaller ones are stripped so I will need to replace them and the larger ones are slightly stripped so I would like to do the same with them.

The 3 large bolts are M8 and the 2 smaller bolts are M6. Not sure of their length but measure yours. Or take the whole bunch down to the hardware store and match them up with new ones.

Ya, I saw the M6 and M8 from the diagram. Thing is that I would like to get the bolts before I tear everything apart to make sure I have replacements. Might have to drill out the smaller ones. If I don't have replacements car could be out for a while while I try to find some. Nobody has some sitting around they can measure?

Not sure this will help, but all the M8 socket head bolts are the same length; as are the M6 bolts. Can you remove one of each for your hardware store trip?
