So far I have posted everything I know on the Triad muffler. No connection to Triad other than close in local (NW). I liked the original Triad design for the 993 engines because it some what resembles the 993 factory stuff. (there are two other 3.6 Triads here on Pelican)
I have a lot more room under my rear bumper than I did with a Danske or a Monty on my 3.4.. That has to help keep the 3.6 engine running cooler. Muffler is the lowest noise signatures of any 3.6 911 transplants...and compares well with current factory cars. Most importantly it sounds nice. These pictures are from the original fitting at Eurotech. I'll get a new dyno for comaprison this week and get the muffler coated for durabilty and post more info when I get a chance. But yes $550 was the retail I paid from Dave @ Triad. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1116193531.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1116193581.jpg |
That's a beautiful color.
Congratulations on finishing, Dane! |

Uhm...that's a pretty nice build sheet you have there Sir (understatement of the year).
Now, it's time to drive. |
Im bummed I missed ya Dane. (a few of use drove over to Roslyn after .. .see NW board)
So, I seem to have missed, in your list there, the super-aero- side-view mirror video camera. Sure looks sleek though. :) . . .love that duct shot. |
How bout some before and after pics? Beautiful job Rdane. That car is going to be a blast.
|
Mirrors? You need mirrors?
I do have a rear view mirror and a flexible neck. |

Thanks Guys. The first weekend with our stock '79 SC. The beginning. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1116206065.jpg The same car with a spec 3.4 and a Ruf body and new interior. The first "finished" car. Stage two where we started the "final" version. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1116206100.jpg Our same car in its final version, stage 3, the "RBRDUK". Only the wheels will change now. Better pictures when we get sunshine again. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1116206232.jpg But I really like Drago's shot. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1116184173.jpg Looks like something close to 175 mph top end if I can keep it on the road :) |
Dane, you have quite a nice flair for 911-balance there.
|
Thank you Island. I'll take that as a big compliment knowing the source ;) But the bow really goes to the guys at Eurotech. They did an incredible job of putting my ideas into art work done in metal.

Sorry I missed it Dane. I arrived at the XXX just after noon as I had some crazy idea the "drive" was at 2:00 pm...Most everyone was gone. I'll see it next time. Great job on this project!!!!!!1

She looks delicious!
|
Um, where does the gas go in?

It has copper brushes underneith, and only runs on a special track. ;) |
Did you post a pic of the aluminum heat shield for the muffler and how it's mounted? I don't think I saw that.
Also, you misspelled Recaro - so I put the word here in case somebody searches for Dane + Recaro to look at the your interior... Great looking car & xlnt documentation for others. I'll look fwd to seeign some on the road pics of the color - both coludy days & sunny... |
