I have been asked if I would like to inherit a later model shelf cover, and am concerned with how it is fitted and if it will fit in my older sc? On my current one, it is screwed in place using the two brackets with a screw on each side. on the newer cover, I can not see any screw holes - how is it kept in place? Do I have to make some changes to my shelf to fit it?

My 84 has two screws up top where the straps attach and a metal clip middle of the panel on bottom that fits into a receiver behind it on the engine wall. I can measure my panel if you like, it is out of the car right now on a recover job.
