'93 964 Cab - Pricing Advice
Went to make a bid on a very clean '84 coupe (w/93k miles) and the guy had just sold it. I snoozed to long...He got his asking price of $21,000.. The seller is know in the PCA circles for taking great care of his cars.....
The search goes on.... Just drove a '93 white Cab C2 with dark blue interior. 71,000 miles......New tires, new Cab top, Repainted about 1.5 years ago (seller claimed the car has a few scratces and rock chip so he decided to do a total repaint - done by Autometric Collision) Paint job looked good except for some more rock chips.......Drove very nice... Cab top worked fine. Storage bins in place of back seats. Interior is in very good shape; very little signs of wear. It has been service by a local shop that has a fairly good reputation..... Seller is asking $25,700.....As I understand it, '93 already have the LUK flywheel and they had headgaskets when shipped from the factory (unlike the earlier 964s). Therefore, the potential of those two issue coming up are reduced as I see it.... Are '93 964 inherently more reliable (if well maintained) the the earlier '964 due to the above issue being addressed at the factory? I would have a PPI done before purchase as recommended... Does that price seem like a fair market value?....The car is in the detroit area..... |
