Fabien,

Welcome to the board. Be a little more specific with your thread titles, if you can.

Looking the number up on Pelican, it appears to be an OEM Muffler (1974).

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer

Try again on this one, it isn't clear what you mean:
what are thinking the americains on it transformation

BTW, when do I get my shipments of wine & cheese...?

You could always put your french sentence in parentheses (Il y en aura qui pourait peut etre traduire, ou sans doute comprendre).

ok before my question i want only to write that american are modifying a lot theirs 911. i feel that great : Good job (in France a lot people want only an original car).
Do you know a lot of think, i mean i don't know a lot of people which are abble to transform a SC with a 3.6 engine in my country. And your forum are very active : you have a lot of chance.

so my question : (Je souhaite savoir si la transformation des échappements (SSI+OEM) est bien vu par les americains, et j'ai entendu qu'on pouvait gagner 10 chevaux et avoir un son meilleur)
i wish to know if the modification (SSI+OEM) is a good modification ? what are thinking the americain about that ? I heard 10 PS more and the sound also great.

Yes - that is a good mod to do. But I'm not sure if a French import car would have the poor heat exchanger design that the SSIs fix. Also, what smog laws do you have to meet?

Tans: I have SSI & BB exhaust done by PO. It does add HP (Horse Power et non PS ;>) as well as a more agresive sound (sets off car alarms).

As Fabiensc81 asks, as I do: do you get an extra 10 HP with modified exhaust over stock?

Fabien: in France, you have laws that are less strict than in North America in regards to vehicle emissions. For example, a 1987 Carrera in NA would have 117 HP, in Europe it would have 132 HP due to emission regulations.
