Sunroof lift during closing

Rebuilt sunroof including cables, slides well but now front won't lift for proper closing. Adjusted the height screws and still no go. Any suggestions it seems to get snagged on the deflector.....

Thanks
Dave

Sounds like the little black clips under the deflector might be broken. (Yellow arrow)

They keep the deflector aligned so it drops flush when the sunroof slides forward. I think you can get them from PerformanceParts.com

You might also check the springs on the hinges. If they break, the deflector won't stay up when the sunroof is open, which creates the two little "ramps" on the sides for the sunroof to ride up when closing.

ya....might be exactly that, one of the clips holding the deflector is rocken.....Being in Canada it will probably cost me $30 to ship that $2 clip!

Thanks!

Zoanas,

Any chance you have the prosche part number for that clip for the roof deflector (right side)? If not, do you know any tricks where I can find official part numbers. Dealers are clueless when it comes to old Porsches in Montreal.

Cheers !
