Lower Engine Temps by Removing Rear A/C Condenser?

It's been suggested in another thread that removing the rear a/c condenser will provide noticeable improvement in engine temps. I agree that anything that improves airflow will lower engine temps, but will there be any appreciable improvement if the rear condenser is removed? It seems to me that the improvement would be marginal, at best.

What do the cooling experts think?

Thanks in advance.

Scott..I removed my lid condenser last summer ( A/C is working ) after getting my car back from a fresh engine rebuild..I saw no change in oil temps. I think its more the 'heat pump' effect when the A/C is working and dumping heated air on the engine that makes everyone think the condenser reduces air flow.

I have two 3.2s. One with tail and one with no tail and aircon. The one with no tail and aircon runs very much hotter in the summer under all driving conditions, traffic, regular driving and very fast. Not using the aircon has a marginal effect on temps.
