Unhappy One wire to much on my seats?!?

I have been given the electric seats out of my friends 911 as he is fitting some rasing seats. When I have a closer look, there are three wires and not two (red, brown and black). I know the seats are heated and assuming one wire is related to that, but am not 100% sure? How do I wire these up??

I don't know a lot about the seats, but I'm guessing that one is ground, one is low heat, and one is high heat, kind of like highbeams.

Well, the seats are 4 way electric adjustable, and heated. I was assuming that maybe I had one cable for ground, one for +12 and the last one was something to do with the heated seats? Did the later cars have a light somewhere to indicate that the heated seats were on?

the stock seat wiring install is kinda convoluted. The red and brown should be for the motors. The black may jump from the seat to the back rest heating element. I used separate circuit breakers for each seat and used 10ga wire.

I don't have the heat. I guess I'd wire the heat elements fused separately.

Always remember that on our cars Br is always ground.

Thank you Ronin,

I belive that there is no back rest heat on the 911 seats! If I assume that the red and brown is the motors, all I have to do is find out what the black one is for

Brown Wire is: Ground

Red Wire is: Power

You only need to tap into these wires for the power to work. This will also work the heater as well.

Please feel free to email me if you need help to install the seats.

Thank you,
Jason
