Leakdown question

Does good numbers on a leakdown test imply a good bit of engine life (i.e. before a top-end or complete rebuild is needed)?

The word "imply" is a good one to use here. But yes, in concert with good compression numbers, the two tests help to indicate a healthy engine. But remember, comp/leakdown are no substitute for the eyes and ears of a good wrench (with lots of experience with 911s specifically) for spotting other engine issues. I've seen other threads where folks have reported good compression with a broken head stud! A quality PPI is key. Good luck

Edward
