Thanks for the great video. Somewhere I've got pics of either the 3 or 4 car a few years back at Sebring. I'll have to dig them out. I love that car, makes beautiful noise. Now where can I source one of those flat-8's for my car........

Anybody figure out a way to save the file locally??

[!url]http://stream.qtv.apple.com/qtv/endorphin/http/908_3_ref.mov[url]

Man, that's just a toy, just a big boy's go cart. 1100lbs and 350hp.

I bet I could get into some real trouble with that thing. It'd probably make short work of that daily commute, and I could drive right through the toll boothes without stopping since I'd shoot right under the gate.

That's funny Steve, I refer to my kart as the 908/3.

It was awsome to see incar footage for once from a 908 (of any sort). You can see why everyone who drove one raved about it. It just seems to go where pointed. It squirts well out of the corners and seems to rotate real well. Did you notice in the incar shots that even though the driver was to the right of the camera, it still looked like he was sitting in the center of the car. You can see what it made everyone who drove it a hero.

That same site also has an awsome 911R video too.

I was able to download the "908_3_ref.mov", but it's only a couple of hundred K and took a while to load off of my hard drive. I suspect that it is just a reference file that points elsewhere to get the full data. Either that or it is very well compacted.

I met Phil a number of times at the vintage races at the Glen .....and he is very accommodating in talking about the car...especially if you know at least a litle bit 'bout the car....

After I looked at the car and asked if the frame tubes still carry the oil to the front cooler, he immediatley took me by the elbow and showed me the complete car! This was in front of a huge crowd at the Glen...and we've met and conversed every year since...

Great guy..... great car.

He ran 1:58's on the Glen long course...and handily beat a pair of GT-40's the last time I saw him run...

Man that was great. If I win lotto I think that would have to be added to the list of must have cars.

Here are a couple of pics I scanned from Sebring two or three years back. It was love at first sight.

Guys, there are also videos of a 911R and RSK on the same website, as well as numerous videos of other great cars. Check the rest out at: http://www.endorphin.com/stories/wheels.php

Excuse me, 1:58?

I have to get a bag of ice for where my jaw hit my desk when it dropped.

Here's a link to the Brunn Racing site where there's another flag to flag video of a 908/3 chasing a Sauber GP6 up a Swiss hillclimb course. I couldn't help but think that the Sauber was definitely holding the 908 up, especially in the corners!

That was wicked cool, thanks!

I think that 908 is for sale on their site... I don't have the nerve to ask them how much
