Rain and rust
We are experiencing monsoon season in Minnesota and since I bought my car partially on impulse I don't have alternative transportation (yet) for when it rains - which has been everyday the last two weeks. At least parking at work is covered. Since my car is pre-galvanized era I want to avoid rust at all costs as the body is rust free so far. Is there anything I should or could do to avoid problems. All help/suggestions appreciated - Thanks.

Do you have a leak?
Or did you just get paranoid from looking at all the rust pics on the board? If the latter, don't worry about it. The thing to worry about is salt - it will kill the car in just a few years. The nice thing is that rain washes the salt away -- off the roads and into the stremas where it kills the fish... Just get under the car 1x per year and check over the undercoating carefully - renew it, check for cracks, etc. |

It is garaged at home. I will store it this winter. Thanks for your replies.

Buy a cheap beater to drive around when you don't want to drive the PORSCHE.
