I can't get the car to start this morning.
Flip the key on, all the lights come on, CD Box whines, Sounds like the fuel pump is trying something, but doesn't crank over a single time. No starter noise whatsoever. Took the air cleaner off to check the plate for fuel pressure, that seems fine. Starter? Okay to push start if I can find some help?

Rob, sounds exactly like what mine did a few months ago. All electrical systems/components seemed to be working. I could hear the fuel pump, radio would work. Turn the key to crank the engine and nothing.
Changed the starter after some Pelican's told me they figured that would fix it, and ...tadah! Car has started up every time. Superman posted a way to check for power at the starter, by running some wires from the starter to a lightbulb in the cockpit. turn the key...if the light lights up, you're getting juice to the starter. Might be worth a try. I just took their word that the starter was bad and changed it. Just my $.02. Randy edit: forgot to add. While the car would NOT turn over, push starting it worked like a champ. ![]()

Well, I checked for the wires under the dash as per John Walker, and it all looks good outside of one disconnected thing that I described and he said was unrelated.
Checked the plug to the relay board, and no weird corrosion or anything that looks strange. Checked all the connections to the battery, a couple of red wires outside of the main lead were slightly loose, tightened those up, no change. The thing doesn't make the slightest sound, even when the battery was dead a few weeks ago it would click over a little. I don't have a jack and jackstands here at the moment until I can get someone to bring them over, so I can't get under the car yet.

I had a similar problem ... it turned out the wire to the starter had wiggled loose. Of course I tried checking all the grounds, resetting all of the ignition wires, checked all the fuses, etc. Nothing helped until I crawled underneath to check the starter and solenoid ... then it was obvious.
Good Luck ...

My car did the same thing last week and after a push start I've not had anymore trouble . I talked to my mechanic and he said it sounded like the trigger wire from the ignition was going bad . Apparently he has some way of repairing this but he didn't elaborate . The trigger wire is the yellow wire coming off the back side of the ignition switch .
