Speedo cable leak??
I finished my big spring project a couple of weeks ago. Still trying to organize stuff for a good post.
I have found a very minor blue fluid leak which at first I thought was a loose rear brake line connection. Turns out the brake lines are FINE. It appears to be Swepco 201 Tranny fluid coming from the speedometer cable connection, right above the trans mount. I think the nut connecting the cable to the tranny (901) is tight, but the 90 degree "joint" is still a bit "loose" or "wobbly". Is that normal or no... I'm going to have to re-drop the Trans mount to gain enough access to tighten the nut. I'll try to get a photo if that helps...

Richard, I have the same problem. I have bought the replacement O rings which is the problem. Unfortunatly for me this will require a full engine and trans drop. I havent done the project yet as I am making a list of other things to do while the drop is done and I am having to much fun driving right now. My leak is not all that bad either.
Here is a lik to my original thread with great info from Grady and John Walker Speedo drive leak Hope this helps
