Seat respringing
I can't find anything does anyone have any ideas on respringing seats.
I've got a set of 69 seats that need recovering and the springs are shot. I'm getting the chrome redone at the moment and am looking for options. Thanks in advance

Have you tried an upholstery shop. The springs shouldn't be anything special just same size and length.

No i haven't Dan i'm getting things to gether whilst every thing gets chromed at the moment.
I've spoken to a couple of upholsters and they said get the kits from the U.S. for the covers and i noticed that they also sell the padding and didn't want to double up on orders. Thanks for your advice, i think i'll just get the recovering kit and hand it to the proffesional and let him tear it apart.

Actually it is a job you can do yourself. I did my sport seats and they turned out exceptionally good. I just took my time and went slow. The kits here in the US are pretty good, not sure about the cost compared to anything you'd be able to get downunder, if they're available. I got mine from World Upholstery in CA. They can send you color swatches and samples of both leather and vinyl, great guys to work with and they stand behind there product. The suggestion I was referring to on the upholstery shop was just to buy the springs as they should be pretty straight forward to replace and aren't anything special as far as I know. It certainly is much easier for them to handle the whole job though if that's the route you want to go. Keep us posted on your progress.

If you go with them I think they can color match to for you if you send them a swatch of what you're interior color is. Keep us posted.
