Bilstein Shocks

How long should Bilstein shocks last? I have 40,000 on mine - the PO replaced in 94. When I stand on the corners of the car and jump off its pretty solid - no oscillation, it just comes right back up.

The reason I ask is that I notice on our hosts shock page that they note that Bilsteins should last for the lifetime of the car.

They sound OK to me. I'd say don't waste your money.

I guess physically they might hold up in one piece for the lifetime of the car, but they're definitely not going to be effective for the life of the car. When I replaced mine the old ones felt nothing like the fresh ones that went in.

They should be fine @ 40,000 miles though
