Brake backing plates
Hi,
Are there many people on here, that when upgrading their brakes they did not refit the brake backing plates. I was thinking about just leaving these off after I upgrade the brakes and wondered what others have done? Thanks in advance Alan.UK |

Yep, mine came off when the new rotors were installed. Leaving them off should help keep the brakes a little cooler.

After my upgrade to 993TT brakes, mine didn't fit anymore. So, they stayed off.

Mine are all in the "original equipment storage locker", along with the steering wheel, windshield washer hardware, headlamp assemblies, shifter knob, radio, and a few other things,,,;-)

Hi,
I am fitting an AL cross member in my 71, so if the original one works in your car Todd, it should work in mine. Thanks Alan.UK
