Have a talented friend weld up a converter and lean out the CO and take the test....passed 10X cleaner than required.

No, just use your head and don't get too comfortable.

My first track day in a Porsche was in my 930. I came to realize that my "completely freaked" nervousness was keeping me from killing myself. I ended up talking to myself lap after lap ("Don't lift"... "here comes the boost".... "OK, off the boost"...) :D

Yea, I bolted on the factory muffler w/ cat and leaned it out. While it would barely idle, it passed with almost no reading. Luckily the emissions tech's don't know 911s, otherwise it'd fail visual for all the missing air injection stuff (or the disconnected O2 sensor).

Mine idled great, we just didn't romp on it while running lean.
