Question Mystery oil leak - need opinions

(74 2.7L) Prior to this my engine hasn't leaked one single drop, so this is bugging me. Noticed a small puddle yesterday, so took a look. The oil is dripping off the bottom of my hard crossover line. Looking up it appears to be dripping out of the rubber drain tube coming out of the engine tin, (located between the engine oil cooler and the transaxle bell) directly onto the hard crossover line, running down, and dripping off. So i thought maybe the oil pressure switch, vent hose, or thermostat, but reaching in behind the CIS all is dry around the pressure switch as well as the oil vent hose, can't reach the thermostat. There is no sign of oil what-so-ever inside the engine compartment. I just installed this engine last year, but can't remember where this rubber drain tube comes from. would it be from the engine oil cooler to case connection? I'm puzzled and don't relish the idea of another engine drop or CIS removal. Anyone have any ideas???
Thanks

Possible this is the drain line from your air box? If so, perhaps you overfilled your oil tank and the excess oil got sucked into the airbox although this usually causes a bit of smoking.

You're a Genius and I'm an idiot! Just popped off the air box cover and low and behold a puddle of oil in the airbox!! You know I never made the connection, I just did an oil change and valve adjustment, and also recently realized that my exterior oil cooler thermostat is not working. So the 10 quarts I put in is too much because the t-stat is not functioning. But still puzzling is that when I checked the oil (warm and running) I was not above max line. Yat there is quite a bit in my airbos. Regardless, Thanks so much!

Also I'm just trying out a used muffler I picked up, I thought the smoke was from that. O.K. I'll shut up now.
