Just wondering....
I'm sure many of you have these same items. I've got the original window sticker, bill of sale, service / maintenance manual for my '72T. It's obvious from the records, signatures, receipts, etc. that the original owner of my car kept if for about 8 years. My car was purchased in California...made it's way to Texas in about 1980. I've also got several maintenance reciepts from the second owner. I'm the third owner, purchased from the widow...in 1996. Have any of you, with this type of documentation ever considered trying to track down the guy that dropped 7-9K for your car about 30 years ago? Perhaps they're wondering what ever happened to that car..

Now in 993 land ...

Unless you are ready to sell the car, why bother? Also, how likely is it that they are still with us? Just like today, I doubt that any folks under 40 bought new 911s in the early 70s. That would put most first owners over their mid 70s!

$13K was a LOT of money for a car in 1973!
I knew both the second and third owners of my car ... and heard the original owner was a doctor from Austin. Second owner was a bit younger [months] than my mother, and third owner was two years older than me. George's point is a good one ... pointless for owners of 30+ year old cars!
