Engine mounts + valve adjustment = bliss

My car had been getting worse and worse for months.

The vibration from the chassis was brutal and the tappet noise was getting out of hand.

I took the car to Henry at Refined Motorsports in Toronto (great guy).

In goes new motor mounts....quick valve adjustment...

Now the car is back to its sophisticated self. Nice rumble at idle..not the bolts in the washing machine sound.

The shifting feels great. The car has lost that 1st gear lurching that was related to the loose drivetrain.

All in all a great day for the P-car!

What other symptoms did the mounts fix, I am about to do mine?

I used to live on Montreal and visit the Beaches, how's TO holding out these days?

Twobone,
I am curious too as to which mounts you used. I did new sport trans mounts last year but used my original motor mounts.

shifting etc.

The shifting feels sweeter...I did not have to replace the shifter bushings after all.

I'm going to an Autocross on Sunday...that should tell how it performs under stress.

It just feels tighter and the engine feels more modern due to the reduced vibration.

FYI - they were stock mounts. I did not have the time to order sport or Wevo mounts

I just ordered new sport mounts while I was waiting for you reply. If I don't like them, I can sell them off. I will post my results when they get here. Thanks for the opinion.
