Hamilton got it close, but it's not a cover, it's the gasket that fits between the Webasto heater and the tube at the bottom of the smuggler's box. The screen is NOT an original part.

never had one of them Webasto heater thingys in my cars, so always served as a cover for me....

You guys are good - as well as something else. John Cramer is correct it came off a 66 911 I am parting out, the heater had been removed many years ago by a previous owner. John you want it I'll send it to you, email me Jrome51@aol.com your mailing address if you want it.
