Fuchs, are these anything special??
Hi.
My car is being totaled by my insurance co. I have 2 sets of wheels (Fuchs) the set on the car is in great shape, the other set is ok, but not quite as nice. Before i put the "worse" set on the car to give to insurance, can someone tell me if these are anything special?? (I highly doubt it, but of course I would kick myself if I found out they were at a later date) Anyhow, no pics for the time being, but here are the numbers: I have 2 of these: 6 Jx16 911.361.020 43 AS10.62 1 of these: 7 Jx16 911.361.020 44 as162 28139 1 of these: 7 Jx16 911.361.020 44 AS10.62 0281393 There are other misc numbers stamped into a couple of the wheels... .dunno if they are relevant. Anyhow, I have to give the car up in 3 hours, so a quick response would be appreciated. |

Question? Is the car a complete loss? How is the driveline? Can you buy it back from the insurance company & sell it yourself or part it out? If so I may be interested.

Oh yeah, its drivable, but insurance wants too much to buy it back ($10K). Plus if I buy it back, there is actually a tax penalty to do so. If I bought it back, I would need to get $13K just to break even with the tax penalty. Not to mention the time and effort of parting it out.
Got a decent set of Fuchs though! I actually dont know what sizes are on the car, but I will in a sec, they are coming off now. Check out this thread for more pics of the car, before and after. Good shape actually. 83 SC coupe ROW car in Canada I will post details on buying the car from the insurance co as soon as I know for ya guys. If I dont buy it, it will go to auction, then maybe one could get it for a decent price. |
