What's in a name?
Two questions, sorta technical. Do we pronounce the name "Porsh" or "Porshu" with a short U? Second, was the phrase "Porsche, accept no substitute" or Porsche, there is no substitute"? Want to get the vanity plate right...

Just read the LABOR rates posted in your mechanic's office....
LABOR RATES: Porsch - $50.00 per hour Porsch-a - $95.00 per hour |
Scott,
Check out a Porsche ad on Speed Channel. You will "see" that is is pronounced Porschuh. The slogan is "Porsche...there is no substitute". Maybe it should be "Porsche...it's a two syllable word". Check out Tim f's thread. Good videos including pronunciation. |
thanks
for the enlightenment, Paul. Roger on the labor price, kqw!

and i thought
I was such an original...yeah right. Actually, I was going to put it on the front. Anybody know of a good on-line store that'll make a custom plate with the slogan and "Porshah" (pinkies in the air, please) crest?

There's a ton out there. Google it.
Here's one such site. http://www.europeanplates.com/ I'll look for another I have, which has actual year specific historical plates for your vehicle, plus an online designer so you can see what it will look like. Jim |
