Are these M calipers? Pics are from the right side of a 73T Targa.

Yes, both M both the same. Looks like it’s been awhile since your T has run?

Dave: Thanks for the info on the calipers.

The car is a barn find that sat for 15 years. The engine was stuck when we got it. After months of work on the engine, MFI, pedals, and gas tank, the engine now runs ok. We emptied and re-filled the tranny and drove it 20' in first and then reverse to check the tranny and clutch . So far so good.

Since the car now can go, we're starting to focus on how to make it stop. We're planning on rebuilding the calipers and replacing the disks and pads.

After reading some recent threads, we're not sure that splitting the calipers won't lead to more trouble than it solves, especially since the case o-rings and Ribe tools/hardware appear to be hard to find.

Though some of the work has been a pain (see our recent post on a stuck lug nuts thread), for the most part we've had a lot of fun fixing up the old tub.
