Headlight bucket hole question.
I'm putting my 1971 911T back together after several years and can't remember what all the round holes in the headlight bucket are for. My car has three. One, for the drain tube, one for headlight wiring, and the third for ??? They appear factory. Should there be three holes for 1971?
Thanks. |

My 73 also has three, as you say one is for drain tube/grommet, one is for wiring and the third is a bolt to the braces underneath.

What Richard said. Replacement buckets don't have the 3rd hole, AFIK. This is because in the absence of the battery boxes, '74>, they didn't bother to bolt the bucket.

Thank-you. |
