First Time Porsche Buyer

i'm looking at purchasing my first 911. It is a White 1985 911 Coupe with 86,000 miles. The car is located in Houston, TX and I am located in Philadelphia.
Firstly- does anybody know of a mechanic that I can hire in the Houston area to inspect the car for me?
Second- what types of service should be performed as soon as i get it? Costs?
Third- Any other advise for this year of porsche?

Thanks

Great choice of car everything identical to mine including the milage.

There are lots of pretty good shops. Eurocar Werks and Protechnik know a lot. Eurocar Werks is central, and Protechnik is in the SW area.

I'm a newbie, too. So, I don't have much to say on #2 and #3. I'll say that you should replace all fluids if the previous owner doesn't give you proof that it was all done recently. Your mechanic can tell you if it needs a tune-up or if it has any problems that need attending to.

Other guys will chime in with much more helpful info, I'm sure!
