Question Origination of this RUF Orange 997 photo??

Love to see more pics of this car.
It is one of the colors I'm choosing from for the widebody 79SC with 3.6.

I posted the AutoBlog.com pictures in the O.T. section a few days ago.

Car news site has three Porsche articles on cover page

Might want to visit here once a week:

http://www.autoblog.com/category/porsche/

............and from them a giant wallpaper link.

http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-2005-RUF-Porsche-RT-12-Turbo-05.htm

Enjoy.

Copy? Nope, you pointed out the color to me in a PM or e-mail and I mentioned that I was thinking of the same color. At that time you were doing Cobalt Blue. And thinking of yellow. Yesterday you were thinking of 'burnt orange with Papaya fade'.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I've narrowed it down to:

Signal orange
The RUF color - would look excellent with the Carbon wing and black accents
Green

Choices....

My thoughts exactly.as my car was originall mocha brown as well. Hard to match the new cork and black interior work. This one fits nicely.

Craig? Today it is the Ruf burnt orange

He to the paint gun first wins!

Cobalt Blue is an awesome color.

originally offered around '91 on 964s including an RS 3.8 I saw once. looks great on the car. I suppose it is a little more trouble, being of course metallic.

Orange 107 ("Continental Orange") is the best color ever applied to any 911.

No problem.

If you have the time, large wallpaper images A-Z.

This will kill ya...Ruf says it is tangerine orange..
You cna have that one all to yourself Craig. I won't be using tangerine orange no matter how cool the picture looks.

Porsche color code for the Ruf car:

blutorange 018 in '70, 2323 in '72, 018 in '72, 018 in '73.

"Wayne Corley at the new RUF Auto Centre in Dallas said that it is an early '70's color of Tangerine orange." Aren't they the ones who physically have this car in their show room?

You would think Mr. Corley would know....
but I agree doesn't look to be Tangerine orange to me.

Pictures do not do custom paint justice, seen the same car a couple of days ago on the board, and the car was orange with highlighted yellow from the lights. Its custom paint, ask me how I know!

It seems the picture doesn't show the true color.
But.....the appearance of the color is what I like.

It's one of the final 4 or so color choices --
Now how the heck do I paint match a picture??

Blutorange/Tangerine from the early '70s seems brighter. Maybe its the light in that pic
