Trunk carpet question
Hi Guys! I am cleaning out my trunk while I am having the tank boiled out and am going to paint in there, and tidy up. ect. I plan on putting in new carpeting (P/N PEL-APBZ-TC74C looks nice) but looking at the pictures of the carpeting on this site, it appears the carpet attaches to some peice of cardboard, or fibreboard.
Does anyone know? Does anyone with a '75 or close have a peice of fibreboard in thier trunk that the carpet attaches to? Or does it just lay on top of the spare? ????? Thanks! |
There are snaps around the edges of the trunk. There is a cardboard piece over the fresh air blower/mixer that has a few of the snaps on it.
If you think about buying a used set (about a year old), pm me. I'm considering going commando. |
No, it just lays over the tank and spare, just like the OEM trunk carpet. The only fiberboard piece is the one that covers the fresh air blower. After looking at the page where that above part # is located, I didn't see any specific pictures of that trunk carpet set. So, I'm thinking you may have clicked on the pictures of the "catch all" molded trunk mat set, just below the AppBiz carpet sets.
