the cover unde the 915 trany
what do you find under that cover and it odd shaped under the 915?? whats it for ect. ect.?? The one I am speaking of is on the bottom and forward of the drain plug aways.

All 915s have the shift fork cover/plate #5 in the diagram below!
You will find the guide fork #6 fastened by three studs, lock washers, and nuts. The #2 'dongle' is what's motion is constrained by the guide fork. Any loose studs should be secured with Red High-Strength Loctite, and the nuts get the Blue Medium-Strength Loctite! Sudden inability to select certain gears can be due to a loose guide fork!
