Well actually a lot of places but I guess I am most concerned about the fuchs. Anyways, how should I get off? Any suggestions?.

Thanks,

David, it depends what type of finish is on your wheels and what the overspray is made up of.

I've had good luck with Enamel reducer or using various polishing compounds. If going the compound route use the finest "grit" available first. If possible try in an inconspicuous area first.

I got it on the lip and on the painted part. The painted part I used Wurths black paint on and I can fix so I am not too concerned. It is the chome (whatever it is) I am concerned about.

Thanks Rick.

I have had good success with "Mothers wheel polish/cleaner" takes some elbow grease but worked well.

Try a clay bar...be sure to use lots of the spray when rubbing the bar on the wheel surface.

Laquer thinner is stronger than enamal thinnner....Would start with the weaker and move to the stronger.....

Lacquer thinner should work if you get it soon. Paint thinner won't do anything once it is dry. If lacquer thinner doesn't work, you are going to have to use a paint stripper. I don't think it will damage the aluminum, the aluminum is solid and will just need to be polished.
Mothers is an aluminum polish not a paint remover. Use it after the overspray is gone.

I am a painting contractor and pretty familiar with these products.

Just re-read your post," Dont use the stripper on the painted part" just the unpainted. You may have to re-paint the painted part. If the two paints are both oil-based you wont be able to strip one without the other.
If the overspray is water-based and the painted rim oil-based seperating the two is easy with goof-off.

Do NOT use paint stripper on original Fuchs! It will eat the clear anodize and you will have to refinish the wheel in it's entirety.

I second the idea of the clay bar. Mine removes overspray from most surfaces (all I've tried, actually).

Good luck.
