how to remove environmental control panel??

i think i may have asked this a few years ago..gave up then, but am trying again now that ALL the bulbs in it are dead. how the frick do you remove it without using a screwdriver that defaces the surrounding panel slot?? are there mystery screws too? i have original coolaire a/c (the fat one)..does it's presence make the job harder? does i need to remove some of it? grrrrrrr

I took my '75's out a while ago and remember that there were 1 or 2 bolts holding it in on the bottom. I can take it out of the box and look at it tonight if that doesn't help.

How to remove environmental control panel

Do it when the EPA cop is not looking. You know those EPA cops, they don't like you messing with anything that will affect the environment.

I took it out so I could put it in a box. In that area I installed boost, volt, and AFM gauges.

I don't miss it at all - the heat just comes out of the footwell ducts only now. We never have a need for defrosters out here. :)

colin,
once the screws are found and removed, does it pull out easily?

ruf: this is arkansas..we can't even spell 'vironmental cop..

Big,
I really don't recall, since it was a while ago. I can post a few pictures of my removed unit if you think it would help.

colin,
if it's no trouble, that would be great..for some reason this has been a sticking point for me and i don't want to keep jabbing aound the panel anymore than i already have! thanks.
