Porsche Cane / Field Seat.
This aluminum walking cane also acts as a seat.

When you get your favorite place in the field to watch the race simply: rotate the disk at the bottom of the cane; expand the handle out to make a seat; place the spike in the dirt and sit. The spike digs into the earth preventing the thing from slipping out and keeps YOUR seat from hitting the dirt.

This cane was acquired by my brother in law when he worked for Porsche, he thinks in the mid 70s but he's not certain. He can testify that it works quit well.

The top and bottom assembly are brushed cast aircraft aluminum. The center is piece anodized aluminum of a root brown color.

* Markings and damage: Measures 34”
* The center cross bar on the handle as “PORSCHE” stamped in them.
* ”THE FETHERWATE” Is marked on the top assembly.
* ”MADE IN ENGLAND” is stamped on one side of the spike.
* ”R.D.871140.” is stamped on the outer side of the spike.
* ”FETHERWATE” is stamped on the top of the disk.
* Does show some signs of usage.
* The shaft is straight.
* There are 2 dents on each 'side' of the shaft about in the middle.
* There are fairly deeply ware marks side by side about 4” down the shaft. Does not got through the metal.
