Who's Going to US Gran Prix @ Indy In June??

I think it'd be cool to maybe get together all the people who are going and maybe go out one nite or get together for dinner or somethin like that while we're there.

I'm getting in on Wednesday nite of that week so we can make it to practice day and take pictures with grid girls mmm.....grid girls...drool....

we're staying quite a ways away from the track to save a lil bit in hotels but we don't mind driving, and if the car is done, it will be there, that it my new deadline for the car, to make it road worthy to indy

but post here if you're going and maybe some contact info or something. i could put it together and then redistribute as info comes in.

Joe

Hotel Inlaws House...in New Pal on the far east side...but I still have a condo there that is for sale...yet empty that I might crash in. I am most likely going to be around turn 8 where the cars slow from 175 mph to 90 in 50 feet....no assigned seat. May have a pit pass if my buddy comes through. Details yet to be figured out......

Dunno about Indy this year, but will definitely make my annual pilgrimage to Montreal for the Canadian GP. Both are a blast.

Is the car corral happening again this year? I did it last year and it was pretty neat. I haven't bought my tickets yet, but I'm sure I'll be there.

With the car corral, you meet at the Indy Zoo (just west of down town) and get a police escort into the track. They let us park on the track with your type of car. Pretty fun. Last year there were TONS of 911's there. There were also some pretty nice exotic cars with other groups. Here's a pic of my car (Silver) with my dad's 88 (brown) at last years car corral for the USGP:

Wife and I are going as we have every year since it came to Indy. We sit in stand J.

I'd love to join the corral as I am a PCA member but I don't think they will appreciate us in our minivan. We have to give a ride to some relatives.

We'll be there Fri, Sat and Sunday of course. Sat is probably the easiest day to meet up since we will all be moving around for practice.

Ill be there. I live just east of Indy, so I go each year. I plan to join PCA and have some fun that way. As time gets closer lets exchange phone #s. They had a super ticket last year which allowed you to walk through the pits on thursday, dont know about the same this year. From what I hear, it was a great time. And from what I say this past sunday, I hope its as great a race as Imola.

I'm all over it. Last year we had a turnout of about 40-50 Pcars per day and about a hundred for the dinner the night before the race. The last 2 years we have had a Porsche parade on Saturday night around town with a Police excort followed by a dinner sponsered by PCNA at an Indy Car team garage. The details have not been released yet for all the events but as soon as they are I'll let you know.

I'll be at Indy this year. I plan to arrive on Friday evening. Hoever, I will not be driving the P-Car.

I do prefer Montreal over Indy, but haven't been up to that race in about five years. I plan to go next year though.

My family will be there starting on Wednesday. This is our 3rd year. It is great! Be sure to do the pit walk on Thursday. We won't have the Porsche either since we are camping right across the street and will need the truck to pull the 5th wheel.

I'm going, but have yet to buy tickets.....better do that soon. I've also had great luck buying tickets the morning of with seats on the starting line at face value. Favorite section is high at the end of the straight away...lots of infield viewing.
