The new Michelin PS2 is a very luxurious riding high performance tire. We have them on my wife's Audi and they are smooth riding and quiet.

Kumho's are notorious for having stiff sidewalls. Great for response and handling, but weak on ride quality.

The AVS ES100's have a nice ride, but a squishy sidewall. And the BF Goodrich G-force Sport is about the same. Both are very good at taming an aggressive suspension.

Have you played around adjusting inflation pressures?

I've heard the Avon Tech M500s are cushy. The Michelins cited above also. I'm probably going with The Avons as I've read a lot of good things about them and they're priced right. You might also consider noise. A buddy of mine had SO3s on his 540i and they got pretty loud. Supposedly the Avons are quiet. Check out Tire Rack and read not only the tests, which give the design intent (i.e. "quiet, smooth performance vs "hard core handling"), but the reader reviews. Kind of like asking the audience on Millionaire. Don't expect total accuracy, but sampling a small cross-section and going with the majority can be helpful. Here's a link to a thread I started recently on this same (different size, same issue) topic:

tire thread

When you buy, consider posting your results on the above link so we can build a database for comfortable performance tires. An "Ultimate Comfortable Tire Thread" for wusses like me if you will.
